I heard (yes, heard, though hearing impaired myself) you read at the League last month. Now I have just started your book and it's terrific - touches me deeply. My hearing loss is moderate-profound but I am not a cochlear implant candidate. Nevertheless, I struggle a lot with this disability. Where can I meet more young people with this condition? Any insights? It is lonely, lonely, lonely out there....
Josh, Since reading your story several weeks ago, I have been turning your ending over and over in my mind. Like a panic attack, it would hit me... "He hasn't talked to Jere! Oh no!" Two, three times a day at first and now just when my mind wanders. This post reaches me a bit late, but none the less, answers the questions, calms my mind.

The last four seconds keep backing up and repeating again and again. Was that done on purpose?
Josh, I heard every single word you said! I am so happy for you that you got to talk to Jere again. It was meant to be.
