I heard (yes, heard, though hearing impaired myself) you read at the League last month. Now I have just started your book and it's terrific - touches me deeply. My hearing loss is moderate-profound but I am not a cochlear implant candidate. Nevertheless, I struggle a lot with this disability. Where can I meet more young people with this condition? Any insights? It is lonely, lonely, lonely out there....

The last four seconds keep backing up and repeating again and again. Was that done on purpose?

Josh, I heard every single word you said! I am so happy for you that you got to talk to Jere again. It was meant to be.

Josh,
Since reading your story several weeks ago,
I have been turning your ending over and over in my mind. Like a panic attack, it would hit me... "He hasn't talked to Jere! Oh no!" Two, three times a day at first and now just when my mind wanders. This post reaches me a bit late, but none the less, answers the questions, calms my mind.

Thank you, thank you, thank you.
