Oh God, Help us, help us!

Notes from a conversation with my brother while watching the latest Bush press conference on CSPAN

Josh: This is like a kid trying to speak adult.
Zev: This is like an infant trying to speak Chinese.
Josh: This is like a dog sitting in the driver’s seat, trying to drive a car.
Zev: This is like a dog sitting at the kitchen table, trying to sail a boat.
Josh: (pause) How does a dog at a kitchen table sail a boat?
Zev: Carefully.

I think your brother should be on the radio.

When I was a boy, my next door neighbor, and best friend, Greg had an Irish Setter named X (because it was a long time ago) who would join us outside when we tossed the football around. On a sunny day, X could spend hours barking at the ball's shadow as it travelled back and forth from my hands to Greg's. But the thing is that when we were done and went back inside, that dog could speak Chinese AND drive the kitchen boat better than any stupid-ass president.
